EDHB is happy to introduce a new program for our youth archers. In partnership with Cal Deer, we are introducing a modified Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) Program. Starting in November, we will meet to develop skills needed to be successful in Target/Field Archery, 3D targets, or Bow Hunting.

Space is limited, and open to youth 9-17 years of age. We will have loaner bows available – a choice of either recurve or compound. Equipment is; however, limited and participants should plan on purchasing their own gear once they determine their preferences and abilities.

For those interested, we will also participate in local 3D shoots and cover basic hunting skills. These are optional and not a requirement of the program. It will be perfectly acceptable to stick to Olympic or Field Archery targets. Our coaches will help develop skills in all interested aspects of archery.

Once archers have had a chance to develop skills, we will select members for an Elite JOAD team in January. This team will compete in local and virtual competitions.
